Question # 1 : 1. Describe your reactions to hearing David Faber speak. (3-5 sentences)


1. My reactions where really sad because I just could't believe that the Germans did all that horrible stuff to him and his family and I was wondering how he fealt when he say that the Germans had killed his dad and his brother Romek. I was wondering how he survive after all that and seen the germans killled his family I fealt bad for him but I at the same time I fealt good for him because he survive all that horrible stuff and know he has a beter life even do he is alone and does not have his family with him.



Question # 2: 2. Describe in 3-5 sentences David's experiences with the Russian Partisans, and explain why you think Romek was so proud of him.


2. I think he fealt good because they where treating him really good and giving him food and they made a space gor him where he could sleep and they didn't make him work like the Germans where and they where really friendly to him. I also think he fealt lucky of being there becuse he had everythign he needed in that moment and with out them the Germans probably would of had found him and killed him for runing away from that "vacation camp" but at the same time I think he wanted to go him and he was trying to ask the Russian Partisans to take him back home as soon as possible. I think he fealt really angry and sad after the Russians died in the fire because they had told him that they where gone take him back home .

Question # 3: 3. Why do you think the Gestapo would spare David's life and return him to the ghetto after torturing his brother to death? (3-5 sentences)

I think they took spare David's life and took him back home becuase they believe him that he didn't know about the blue papers that they where looking from and they though he was to little to kill him and maybe they fealt bad for him.

1. I am not sure what the significance of David's pigeon even do I think his pet pigeon was important to him because he save his family from the Germans and does the same reason why I think that David's pigeon became important on the book.

2. 3-5 sentences: Describe the conditions of the Pustkow Vacation Camp. Why do you think the Nazi's use the term "vacation" camp?

2. When the Germans took David to the pustkow camp he had to work for them by cutting trees with an axe which he didn't know how to used until his friend told him how to. The Germans didn't give him anought food after all that work he had done and they didn't even give him health care because when his hands where bleeding the Germans didn't care, they didn't even had a nurse and they still made him work. I think they the Germans called it "Vacation" camp in a sarcastic way but I also think they called it like that so that the capture people would think that there was gone be some kind of "vacation" after they finish working for them.

Question # 1 :  I would like to ask him what happen to his family after the Germans took him to that Pustkow camp?

Question #2 : I would like to know how he felt about the Germans after they did all those horrible stuff and how he feels about the Germans know.?

1. While reading this book, I,ve learned how the Hitler and Nazis didn't get a long with the Jews and the poles. From the last chapter I learned how mean the Hitler and Nazis where to the Jews and the poles they treat them like they weren't humans and they would talk to them like they where slaves.

2. I  think Davi's family is really kind and cares about others, but I also think that they are just like any other family they worried if a member of there family is in danger and they get scared when it cames to the Nazis.

b) 2-3 sentences: Why do you think David remembers every last detail in the early chapters of the book?

B I think David remembers every single detail of the early chapters of the book because they where really scary to him and they where a big moment of his life  because he could of had died while he was trying to save his dad.

3. What does the rescue of his father show about David's character? Name the qualities you see in him, and give examples from the text to support your conclusions.

3. To me David show me how much he loved his dad by put in him self in danger and I think he was really brave to go and rescue his dad because the Nazis could of had get him and kill him right away, but even do his dad told him to not only care about his family and care about others even if he didn't know, them at all he seem like he wanted to help the other people for example when he saw how they where making all that other people work while they where tired he. he felt bad about not been able to help them.

The purpose of this project was to learn about Aztecs and murals. In order to learn about the Aztecs we had to read articles and take notes about social classes , clothing, food etc about the Aztecs and in order to learn about murals we took a trip to the Chicano park and study some of their murals. we look at some of the murals that they had and we took notes on what the mural represent and what it was showing. after we study some murals we where required to create our own mural we had to chose a symbol that we wanted in our mural about the Aztecs and we had to trace it and them we had to painted, after all we had to type up a artist stament about our mural we had to talk about what out symbol mean and how it was representing a topic about the Aztecs.

I learn about a lot of specific topics in the Aztecs for example. I learn what the main foods in the Aztec culture where, how  Aztecs dress and how the Aztecs would do their sacrifice and how some of them where sacrifice and why. In this project, I learn how to trace and I also got better at typing while i help my group with the artist stament and I got better at painting and taking notes.

I enjoy this project because I got to work with people that I get a long with, I got to learn really interesting stuff and I got to learn about a different culture. I feel like I could have done a better job on this project because I didn't used my time how I supposed to, and I was painting to slow. next time, I would used my time better and I would try not to paint so slow, so I can  get work done on time.
