B ecause Of Romek Final Post

Question" Which part of the book did you find MOST shocking or disturbing , out of the many horrifying events? Why? (5 pts)

1. I think the most shocking and disturbing part out of all the other horrible stuff that the Germans did to the Jews was when they killed his family because the soldiers seen like they where happy about what they had done and they where laughing and I could feel the feeling that David had when he saw the soldiers killed his sisters and his mom and he still try to survived after seen the soldiers killed his family and he was really strong and pulled him self up to try to survived and not let the soldiers killed him.


Question :2. Which job does David get in Krawinkel Camp that helps him survive and avoid some hardships? Describe his experiences. (5 pts)


2. David got a job that help him survive one of the concentration camps that was serving coffee and bread to the workers. I think he felt lucky because he had an easy job and he didn't have to work how the soldiers made him work which was really hard.


Question: 3. Describe the conditions at the camp Bergen-Belsen near the end of the war. What happens to
David while he is there for the last few weeks of the war?

3. David went to a lot of camps but the worst one I think it was the Bergan- Belsen because everyone that was close to survived they all died because the soldiers would only give them food if they would work by dragging the bodies and most of them didn't even have enough energy to do that because when the Germans give them food it was not anought.

Question: 4. Describe a moment of triumph near the end of the book for David. In other words, discuss a moment he feels pride in his ability to survive and/or happiness that it's over. (5 pts)

4. I think David felt triumph when his sister's husband visit him and started telling him how they meat and when he show him and picture of his sister because he felt like he was not alone and he was happy that he had found his sister.
I think on other moment when David felt triumph was when everyone was saying that they where free and everything was over because it made him happy and straight to survive.

5. Write a persuasive paragraph using the following thesis statement as your first sentence. Use your own opinions, evidence from David Faber's speech, and/or the book itself, to prove the thesis statement is true. (10 pts)

David Faber's book, Because of Romek, should be required reading in all middle schools, high schools, and universities because all students need to learn about the horrors of the Holocaust.


5. David Faber's book, because of Romek, should be required reading in all middle school, high school and universities because all student of all ages should learned how hard life was in the Holocaust and how lucky they are for not having to go through the horrors of the Holocaust.
